After reading Chapter 17 on Sourcing, research the advantages and disadvantages of offshoring and onshoring, particularly as it relates to some of the concepts covered in this class such as quality, capacity, or process management. Do not address the politics, personal views about offshoring vs. onshoring, or the economics to the U.S. or any state or city. This is all about operations decisions and how one or the other of the choices impacts process, quality, capacity, and inventory.
