Part 2: Opposing Leadership Virtues
This part contains three questions, and your responses should be numbered accordingly.
- Making a list of qualities you most want to have as a leader. Are you overdoing any of them?
- Prompt feedback from at least 2 other people who are familiar with your work and/or leadership behaviors. Ask them to provide you with a list of qualities you exhibit as a leader - use the opposing leadership virtues in Kaplan and Kaiser (2009) as a guide if necessary - and if you are overdoing any of them. Report your results and include whether or not you agree with their feedback. Also include who you asked for feedback and why you chose them. You can simply state their relationship to you to keep feedback confidential.
- Taking into consideration your self-reflection in Question 1 and the feedback of others in Question 2, what actions are you going to take to transition/redirect your strengths?
