agree or disagree with post below? why? 300 words or more
Manager's effectivenesss in a manufacturing plant differ from a service organization or non profit. A great example would be the managers in a Quality Organization (QO). They are more focused on the needs of markets and often ask what the company can and should provide to the customers. Managers of the QO must use a participative approach in decision making either in the initial stages of the decision or at least in the implementation stages. They also fomment training programs to employees so that workers can design, implement, and continously adapt systemic transformations to provide efficient, extraordinary, value-added outcomes that are important to a wide range of organizational stakeholders (Rodrigues, 1999).
Managers also need to possess social skills to increase the job satisfaction to employees. They should constantly interact with them, provide the employees with responsibility, share ideas and value them, and have that sense of accomplishment when the work is being done. These skills are considered universal, however, this can impact the effectiveness of the job performances if you are constantly on top of your subordinates and making sure the tasks are been completed. (Anjum, 2014).
The organizational climate in a manufacting plant tends to be a little bit more stressful than other functional areas such as finance department, sales department and human resource department. Most likely in a manufacturing plant, the first level managers are responsible to encourage their subordinates to properly work together and create a harmonized environment. When the communication is not effective this could result a downfall to process the products accordingly. Efficient first level managers provide their subordinates with all necessary information about a task and inform to as large scope as possible about future results (Petkeviciute & Giedraitis, 2013).
