All else being equal would you prefer to work in a tall or flat organization? Why?

When it comes to my preference between a tall and a flat organization, if all else being equal I would prefer to work in a flat organization. Since flat organizations have less levels of hierarchy, I believe communication would be more direct and decisions can be done more quickly .Furthermore a flat organization will provide me with more freedom and autonomy which will lead to created job satisfaction and creativity.

I enjoyed reading your post this week. Your answer to the second question is very interesting to me. I personally didn't really have a preference between these two types of structures especially because they both also have their own challenges. A flat organization is good because it is simple, and the communication is better but when it comes to work, if there is a load of it, it can become hard on each worker. It seems like this structure is good for small organizations, but what if an organization grows rapidly in a short period.
