All the different chargemaster lists have different things that stood out to me regarding each one. The UW Health list I found to be the most transparent because not only did it include the price for the procedure, test, lab, etc., but also it includes the prices with several different insurance companies. UCLA, while useful saying the standard price, didnt give as many details as UW Health, while some that may be helpful as too many details can be overwhelming, but others may want to make their decisions with their care based on what their insurance covers more of$.$ The upland hills chargemaster was a little confusing the way It is set up on the spreadsheet and it doesnt include prices either until you scroll way down the page and the information is really cluttered. It does, however, include prices depending on the insurance, which is helpful. What stood out to me the most was that UW Health was the most organized out of all the lists and seems to be the most user friendly. What I did like about the door county charge master was that you can type in every single test you need, when you need it$,$ and what your insurance is and they make you a mock bill. The one thing that isnt as helpful about that chargemaster is not everyone will know what kind of tests they need or what category the tests are under to look up$.$ As far as the presentation goes, I think the way door county has theirs set up is a lot easier. I think having only the information you are specifically looking for on the page, and pertaining to that specific patient is a lot easier than having a patient try and scroll through several rows of exams. I think as far as patient preference goes; I think when thinking about the general population they would prefer the spreadsheet. It makes it easier for them to reference their insurance and tests within one facility and compare it to other facilities so they can make an informed decision for their care.List two or three things that can happen if a chargemaster is not up$-$to$-$date and accurate.
