However, there are others that your information systems that may also be important to decision making, e$.$g$.,$ financial, marketing, or human resources, etc. $($review Chapters $1$ and $12).$ Within these categories, you have options to purchase software from various vendors that will provide your business with a system that is already built. However, which vendor meets your needs and goals $-$ even if you don't develop the system yourself, you still need to consider the components you need and assure you purchase a 'good fit'. Basically, you still must determine your needs and requirements and then choose the best option based on what the software offers $-$ it's possible you may find that developing your own is your best option or that you need to customize a vendor$-$built system.

This assignment asks you to determine investigate and evaluate options for two different types of enterprise systems that you need in your business $($for this assignment, "your business" means an organization you might work in considering your major and career goals. Imagine your supervisors ask you to explore and recommend the best enterprise system for two functional categories that fit your idealized organization. Provide at least two options for functional enterprise systems available to you for each functional category, compare your options, and choose the one you think best fits the needs of your organization and discuss reasons for the choice.
