An IDE is an app that adds value to programmers because you can compile and run code with a click of the mouse, you can visualize any compilation errors in the context of the entire code, and you can also debug your code while viewing the source code as you step through it$.$ This is a huge advantage, compared to compiling and running code in command line mode from the console $($Windows$)$ or the shell $($Linux$).$
