Analysis of the ethical, CSR, and stakeholder concerns of a business organization
Description
In this project, each student will set up a demo business (choice your own) and will be requested to act as the Chief Executive Officer to reflect on the three dimensions of business in terms of ethics, business and corporate social responsibility (CSR) of your business.
Topics to be covered:
1) Brief description of the business on type of industry, main services and/or products and the scope of operations.
2) Discussion on the range of ethical as well as corporate social responsibility issues alongside with unique challenges that the business faces.
3) Identification of the stakeholders and their interests and interaction.
4) Discussion on how the business interact in managing ethical issues, CSR activities, and stakeholder interests in practice. Each point will be illustrated with example.
5) A short position statement will be created for the management of the business outlining the overall business’s CSR strategy like, what types of activities fall within the business CSR strategy and what types of activities are excluded and Why?
6) Explain the potential implications of your approach either positive or negative ones.
Project Structure:
- Your assignment report should include: An introduction, with a concise description of your case, your methodology (how you will present your review), and summary of any recommendations/conclusions will introduce me (the reader) to your report.
- The length of the assignment is about 500-700 words/4-6 pages (APA Style)
- This is an independent assignment. Cases of plagiarism, including collusion, will be taken seriously and all UCW procedures will be followed.
