Analyze the two pattern block designs. The charts to plan how could use each design with students:

• Consider how students can fill the design with pattern blocks. Is there one unique solution? Or is there more than one way to complete the design?
• What questions will you ask to help students complete and analyze each design? You might ask questions about which shape or shapes they will use. You can also ask about how many blocks they will use, and how the blocks need to be positioned.
