Andrew lives in a villa surrounded by several fields which he owns. His brother, Chido, tells Andrew that the field adjoining his house would be a great spot for a house and kindly asks him if he can build on his land. Andrew agrees and ensures Chido that the house will be his but the agreement is not put in writing as required for a transfer of an interest in land. Can Andrew later try to evict Chido after the house has been build and use as an argument that there is no written evidence?
