ANSWER ALL THREE QUESTIONS WITHOUT THE USE OF EXCEL. PLEASE INCLUDE EXPLANATIONSTO ALL THREE QUESTIONS AND FILL OUT CHART. The Battle of Santa

The Battle of Santa Rosa Island In the Battle of Santa Rosa Island on Ocotber 9, 1861, Colonel Harvey Brown's Union troops defeated Southern forces led by Brigadier General Richard Anderson, at what we know as Fort Pickens. If General Anderson had better planned his attack, and the events leading up to it, the result may have been different. Ft. Pickens was garrisoned by parts of the 1st, 2nd, and 5th U. S. artillery and the 3rd U.S. Infantry, under command of Col. Harvey Brown of the 5th artillery. The 6th New York Volunteer Infantry, commanded by Col. William Wilson, was encamped outside the fort, a short distance to the east. After midnight on October 9, the Confederate forces crossed from the mainland (in two boats) to somewhere near the current gate entering Ft. Pickens. They took the New York Regiment by surprise; however, the actual attack on the fort was repelled by the main body of Union troops at the fort. The Confederates were forced to abandon their attempt and return to the mainland and safety of Fort Barrancas. Casualty reports indicate that 14 Union soldiers were killed and 30-40 Confederates lost their lives. (source: Wikipedia) If the battle had been better planned (using PERT/CPM), perhaps a different outcome may have resulted. On the back is a chart with an option that could have provided Anderson help in planning his attack. Instead of using boats to access the island, perhaps building a pontoon bridge well east of the fort (current Bob Sikes Bridge) may have resulted in a different outcome. Based on the information provided, develop a precedence diagram (on back of page): Determine the Critical Path The probability that the plan could be carried out in 26 days? The probability that the plan could be carried out in 34 days? Time estimate (days)
