Chief complaint: High Blood Pressure Assignment BR is a 29-year-old black male presenting to the ED after being seen in clinic with a BP of 210/150. Weight is stable at 88 kg, height is 6'3". He reports new onset blurry vision for the past 3-4 days. Denies edema, pain, nausea, or vomiting. PMH: Chronic HTN, untreated. Patient checks BP at local pharmacies, SBP usually ~180. Current Medications: None. Non-compliant. Should be taking Nifedipine. Allergies: NKA Initial vital signs: BP 218/157, HR 80 & irregular, RR 16, T 98.6, and Spo2 94% on RA Labs: BMP normal except: Glucose is 140 (non-fasting), BUN = 88, Creatinine = 8.83.
