Part 2: You will be provided with a set of data. From there, you need to create a working document that you will retain for the entirety of the semester. One of the prime things to begin the assignment with is to identify your independent and dependent variables. There will be one independent variable [the instructor will give it to you] and multiple dependent variables. You must also write down the scales of your independent and dependent variables. Finally, in the document, you will write down the names of the statistical analysis tools you will use to analyze the chosen variables. Please submit it by the deadline mentioned in canvas. The dataset for this is named: "gss18ssds-b_GCPproject.sav" Specific Instructions for Part 2 Where is the data? Files --> SPSS Materials --> SPSS Dataset --> “GSS18GCPdata” What do you need to do? STEP 1: 1. Download the dataset. 2. Run it in SPSS. STEP 2: 1. Read the labels and the abbreviations (Names) of the variables. 2. Then, check the values and the scales (are they correct, is there something you need to change?) 3. If you think something needs to be changed, make a note in your word file (that you will submit to me) and mention what the SPSS data says and what you think the scale should be. STEP 3: 1.
