Next week, we'll have the Final Exam will be comprehensive. It will cover everything we covered during the term. On the one hand, that is daunting. On the positive side, because the Final Exam is comprehensive, it can be used as evidence that you improved your understanding of concepts from earlier in the term. And that's what school should be about--continuing to learn and grow. So, the Final Exam will affect your overall grade in two ways. First, the score you earn on the Final Exam out of 150 points possible will count in your overall grade. Second, if you score a higher percentage on the final exam questions that cover the concepts from your single lowest previous exam score, I'll replace that earlier exam score with your final exam percentage for those questions. For example, suppose your lowest exam score was a 71% on Exam 2. Then, suppose you score 84% overall on the Final Exam and you score 87% on the final exam questions that covered the Exam 2 material. In your overall grade, you'll post a score of 126 points (84% of 150 points) for the Final Exam plus I'll change your Exam 2 score from 71 to 84.
