You are a recent business graduate, and your manager has put you in charge of a team with the mission of identifying and attracting new groups of clients. The team has six members besides you: Brenda, a re- cent graduate like yourself, working in the accounting department; Will, a longtime real estate broker; Carla, a retired office manager; Tom, an experienced marketing professional; Elizabeth, an expert real estate developer; Mary Ellen, a former English professor and current client; and Harry, an entry-level manager who works in the human resources department. Your team has had three meetings so far, with few results. Brenda apparently wants to take the lead and make you look bad to show your boss that he made a mistake by selecting you (instead of her) to lead the team. Will is a self-proclaimed know-it-all, and rejects everyone else's ideas. Carla talks endlessly, and constantly interrupts with irrelevant stories. She tells everyone about every bad thing that ever happened to her at the office. Elizabeth is quiet, but offers helpful suggestions and is respectful of your leadership role. Mary Ellen is noisy and argumen- tative, correcting people's grammar when they speak, and tries to steal as much of your leadership role as she can. Harry is a natural media- tor. He has managed to keep the group meetings going despite the ef- forts of some of the other members. Your team has deadlines to meet in the coming month, and your manager has told you that the makeup of the team cannot be changed. He has informed you that he cannot spare any more people for this as- signment, and that he values the opinions of each member of the team. be a e group: 11865] - Read-Only - Saved to this PC - Search Review View Help = > A1 AaBbCcDd AaBbCcDd AaBb 1 Normal 1 No Spac...
