Answer the below question based on the information below. Answer in paragraph format.

Given the history and future of the paralegal field, professionalism for paralegals might be viewed as having the following elements. 1.Commitment to Legal Services Paralegals should always remember that their highest goal is to assist in the delivery of legal services that are delivered ethically, competently, and efficiently. In addition to living this commitment in their daily work, this commitment also requires paralegals to engage in activities that improve access to legal services, such as pro bono programs. See Section D later in this chapter. 2.Commitment to Education Fulfilling this commitment includes participating in formal education, continuing education, and on-the-job learning that enhance knowledge and skills and continually develop the paralegal's potential. Education heightens the paralegal's ability to deliver quality legal services and enriches long-term career satisfaction. 3.Commitment to the Highest Standards of Ethical Conduct Paralegals should know the rules of ethics that bind lawyers and understand how these rules apply to them. Further, they should internalize the values reflected in these rules and seek to develop their own personal standards of ethics and morality that reach beyond the minimums imposed by law. Paralegals must be scrupulously honest in their relations with clients, courts, attorneys, co-workers, and others in their professional world. 4.Commitment to Excellence Paralegals should set high standards of performance for themselves and seek to meet those standards in all the work they undertake. They should approach each task with an attitude of seriousness and diligently apply their knowledge, skill, and talent to accomplish their work. 5.Commitment to the Paralegal Profession Paralegals are part of a distinct profession within the legal field, with interests and goals that are shared by other paralegals. They should engender collegiality among their colleagues, mentor new paralegals, and act as role models and sources of information for those who aspire to the paralegal profession. They should also support paralegal activities organized through professional associations, bar associations, and alumni associations. 6.Commitment to a Strong Work Ethic Paralegals should strive to do their best on every task and to serve clients diligently. They should be meticulous and thorough, organized, prompt in meeting deadlines, and always do more than the minimum. They should take pride in their work and always produce work that merits that pride. 7.Commitment to Acting with Integrity and Honor Paralegals should be courteous, respectful, and fair in their dealings with lawyers, other paralegals, support staff, clients, and others both within and outside their firm. They should demonstrate maturity, patience, and thoughtfulness in their actions, avoiding gossip, undue criticism of others, prejudice and bias, and favoritism. This commitment means being sensitive to the needs and talents of others, valuing the differences in people's backgrounds, and recognizing others' achievements. 8.Commitment to Balance as a Person Paralegals should not become so consumed by their work that they neglect other aspects of their lives, such as family, friends, health, and personal interests and activities. They should seek to be well rounded and should have a variety of interests. Commitment to a profession need not prevent paralegals from leading a full life; in fact, paralegals who narrow their interests to work only will not be as effective in relations with others and can lose the sense of proportion and balance needed to fulfill their commitments as professionals. 9.Commitment to Good Judgment, Common Sense, and Communication Paralegals should strive to understand and work well with others. They should listen to others carefully and communicate, both orally and in writing, clearly and persuasively.
