Basic Criminal Law

Has a crime occurred?

6) A teacher sexually assaults one of his students in 1983. The teacher then moved to Florida in 1987 where he was charged with CSC with a one his student there. After reading the media accounts in 1995, the victim made a complaint in Michigan. Does the statute of limitations prohibit charging the teacher in Michigan?

7) A woman reports that her stepfather forced sexual penetration on her while when she was 14-year- old. She is reporting the incident when she is 35. Can charges be brought?

8) Four subjects watch a woman being brutally attack by a subject without stopping it. Charges?
