Background information

are a nineteenth-century pirate on the pirate ship Indomitable. captain is a big fan of the experimental method. Because of high attrition among new recruits to his crew, he is very interested in determining what factors lead people to succeed (in his estimation) in his crew as a pirate. to develop a measure that best predicts that success. Being a pirate, the captain is very fearsome so want to make sure to get this right!

This survey yields a composite "pirate score" of between 10 and 50, calculated by summing up all of the answers (thus, a score of 10 corresponds to answering 1 for every question).
