A straight line requires only two coordinates for being drawn on to the computer screen. Suppose starting and ending coordinates are given for a line using an axis where the coordinate of the origin is (a,a). The x value of the starting coordinate is +2 units from the origin and the y value of the staring coordinate is +4 units from the origin. The x value of the ending coordinate is +6 units from the origin and the y value of the ending coordinate is +8 units from the origin.
