Question 6
After completing the first five questions, reflect on what you have discovered about the research process and about the topic you have selected.
After using Google to identify many topics related to computer gaming, finally I decided to select 'addiction to computer games'. There were so many resources relevant to this topic. I found so many research articles, but I had to limit them to the last three years. However, it was a challenge to find relevant articles that belonged to said period. I used the journal database'EBSCOHost'first to find facts. There were only a few related to my topic. However, I was fortunate that I was asked to find only three references from that database. This is easy to use and find academic journal articles which are peer-reviewed and meet the CRAP test requirements. The CRAP test is introduced to check that the article isrelevantto the recent time, reliable, then the purpose and authority are valid.
There are other databases which may give better results, but I useGoogleScholar most of the time. Therefore, I searched another three references from the sources viaGoogleScholar. Most of the results were based on tests, hypothesis, activities and minimal descriptive facts on what I searched. I divided the topic further to subtopics and searched about each one of them separately. Then, I found that most of the articles consist of all the subtopics I stated.
