My post

As a medical professional and nursing student, I have had various experiences with writing in both academic settings and within my communities. Writing has been an essential tool for me to learn and communicate in my educational and professional journey. Throughout my school experience, I have had a lot of written assignments.

I use writing to learn by taking notes and writing down my thoughts on what I am reading or learning in class. Writing lets me see my thoughts on paper and also helps me to think critically. This helps me to process the information and to remember it better. In my communities, I use writing as a tool for learning by maintaining a journal, where I document my thoughts and experiences. This practice allows me to reflect on my life and observe my growth and changes over time.

I use writing to communicate in many different ways. In school, we have writing assignments due every week, we also have discussions post every wednesday. By writing and doing the assignment, I'm able to learn and understand the course more. At work, I write every time I chart my patients' visits. I also use writing to communicate with my coworkers. We use emails and text messages to communicate with each other. Writing is an essential job skill. Communicating quickly and effectively is the cornerstone of any profession. No matter how unrelated writing may seem to a particular field, it's important to regard your writing as an essential component of your skillset. My academic writing will influence others in a positive way as it will provide them with new perspectives and ideas to consider.

One challenge that I think I will face with academic writing is mastering the appropriate language and vocabulary, and citation styles. When I write my assignments, I'm still struggling on citing the sources with the correct APA style format.
