Apple has had a few issues throughout the years, so this is nothing new. It is also part of the problem of making a product that is considered quality - these keep working, long after many new products have come to market.

So, how does a company make people move to a newer model? Automobile manufacturers have a similar problem. A new model comes out every year, yet people hold onto cars for sometimes up to 10 years.
