Application $1$: Preparing Data for Analysis

Throughout these applications, you should be writing down how you are completing each task. We will be introducing new Excel functions and formulas in each application, so it will be helpful to keep a numing list.

Download the data called "PreparingDataExamplexlsx" from Canvas

Save the data as "PreparingDataExample$\_$rawxxlsx"

Save the file a second time $"20230201\_$PreparingDataExamplexlex" OR in any way that you know this is a file you worked on today.

Do you have any duplicate IDs? Remove the duplicates from your dataset.

Sort the data by Birthdate. Which ID is in the first observation row?

Count the number of individuals with a Math score above $500$

Count the number of individuals with missing "Years of experience."

Write down the IDs of the individuals with missing data and note which variable is missing a data point.

Remove all of the observations with missing data.

Create two subsets of data; one with birthdays after $1970,$ and one with birthdays before $1970.$
