4. Chelsea owns some investment property in Killeen that she contracts with Best Realty to manage on her behalf. One month, she doesnt get the rent deposited in her account like she usually does and calls Best. Chelsea finds out that the tenant moved out because Best failed to repair a condition that would materially affect the tenants health and safety as permitted by Texas law. Chelsea is furious. Does she have any basis for holding Best accountable? Explain.

7. Jerry works as an agent for a wealthy local businessman to buy real estate. Its obvious that Jerry is working on someones behalf, but no one knows who he really works for. What is this type of situation called? If Jerry bought a piece of real estate for the businessmen, could he get stuck owing the full sum? Explain. Would it change the situation if Jerry found a great deal and bought a new Ferrari for the guy instead of believing he would want it? Explain briefly.

9. When I make it big, I hire an agent to book appearances on my behalf and sign an exclusive four-year contract. Two years into the deal, Im approached by Mr. Big, the most famous agent in the world, who says he would like to represent me. Thinking I can make even more money, I inform my current agent that Im firing him, and Mr. Big is my new agent. Is there legal recourse here, or is representation always a personal choice? Explain.
10. Kevin works as a product stocker at the local Home Depot. He spots a shoplifter and tries to get him to stop, but the thief runs. Kevin catches up to him and beats him up before the police arrive. If the shoplifter sues, will Home Depot be liable? Explain why/why not.
