APPLICATION: REGRESSION ANALYSIS Application: Regression Analysis Sonia Zeidan PSY 838 Rob Hess September 23, 2015 2 [TYPE THE DOCUMENT TITLE] Application: Regression Analysis From our analysis of the data for those hired two years ago we can conclude that with an adjusted R Square of .752 Model 2 accounts for 75.2% of the variability in the data. The regression equation for that model is Y = 4709.77 x X1 - 1764.79 x X2 + 12998.62 where Y is Sales Performance, X1 is Extraversion, and X2 is Cognitive Skills. Those employees whose sales performance as below the average of 19900 are not at an acceptable level and need coaching. By inputting the Extraversion and Cognitive skills score of the applicants into the above regression equation (Communication skills were excluded as irrelevant) the sales performance of each applicant was predicted. Jane Doe and Burt McIntyre scored the highest (21249 and 23025 respectively) and would make the best candidates for the position according to the model. An explanation of which principals of consulting and coaching would most effectively be applied to improve organizational performance based on this data.. http://www.clevelandconsultinggroup.com/articles/coaching-services.php
