Thehealthcare sector is striving hard to get charmed by the benefits of BD analytics in the hope ofenduring environmental suitability (Wang, Y., Kung, L. and Byrd, T.A., 2018). Conversely, many research scholars postulate that it would be difficult to ensure the benefits of BD in healthcare networks due to the challenges of data complexity, safety and confidentiality (Jee and Kim, 2013 and Cohen et al.,2012). Furthermore, it is challenging to invest in BD capabilities as it requires BD governanceas well as there is a need for upgraded technologies and human talent. This study is an extension of the scholarly JEIM work of (Shamim et al. 2019) by introducing the role of BD governance in the relation between BD decision-making capabilities and decision-making effectiveness and efficiency.Literature possesses limited research referring to environmental sustainability performance in the lexicon of BD and environmental performance (Keeso; 2014).
