Arbitration can be a time saver and money saver compared to full blown litigation in a state or federal court. However, you do give up some rights in arbitration, such as no right to a jury trial and no right to appeal.

(1) If you have the ability to opt out of an arbitration agreement for something that you want to buy or use (e.g., airline ticket, car rental, wifi provider, an app), do you opt out of arbitration or stay in? Why?

(2) If you have the ability to opt out of an arbitration agreement that is in the employee handbook for the company you work for, do you opt out or stay in? Why? If your answer to #2 is different than your answer to #1 explain why.
