Practice Exercise $($Traverse example of Topic $4$: Survey Method$)$

Find the area enclosed in the shown traverse using the coordinates method. Solve the problem on MS Excel. Try two directions AEDCA, then ABCDEA. The units are in $ft.$

Note: this is the traverse on page $6(4-$Survey Methods$).$ Translation of axis was done $($for convenience$)$ such that one point has $x=0($most westerly$)$ and another $Y=0($most southerly$),$ just to make some products zero for manual calculations!

To do that: subtract $N-N_C$ and $E-E_A.$

You can use the same coordinates as in the original traverse $($in Excel!$).$
