Arrange/rearrange your organization/department (or an organization you have worked with in the past). illustrate how you would organize systems to make them more efficient. The objective is to facilitate a smooth flow of work, information and materials.

Please use one organization in your analysis, however if there is not a direct fit regarding the application, feel free to speculate as needed.

As part of your analysis, be sure to address the following three items and use these as your section titles:

1. Build a schematic model of the organization layout as described in the text (i.e. flow line for production, cafeteria line, process layout, U shaped production line, other)

2. Repetitive processing - product layouts (items to discuss might include;Flowline for production or service, Type of layout, Bottlenecks, Specialization, Division of labor, Routing, and scheduling)

3. Non Repetitive Processing - process layouts (items to discuss might include; Fixed Position Layouts, Combination Layouts, Cellular Layouts,Warehouse and storage layouts, Retail layouts, Office layouts, Restaurant layouts, Hospital layouts, Automation services)
