As a culminating project, this assignment has two parts: an executive summary and a project plan created in either MS Project (PC) or Apple Merlin (MAC). Those experiencing problems with Project software may complete this portion of the assignment in Excel. Use prior course information and data gathered for your CLC Business Plan to complete this assignment. Write an executive summary of your CLC Business Plan. Write a project plan in Microsoft Project or Apple Merlin. Excel may be substituted as needed. 1. Examine your CLC Business Plan: Extract the distinct activities needed to start up the business: (a) Identify tasks needed to complete the project. (b) Develop a completion schedule. (c) Assign resources to project tasks. 2. Be creative. For example: If your plan calls for three nurses, you will need to plan for hiring, and training. Create arbitrary timelines for each activity. They could be very general (2 weeks to hire, 2 weeks to train) or they could dive much deeper (1 week to write hiring ad, 1 week to place ad, 2 weeks to accept applications, 1 week to review, 3 weeks for interviews, 1 week for offer-letters, 2 weeks to establish in HR system, etc.). Do this for each section of the CLC Business Plan. Prepare this assignment according to the guidelines found in the APA Style Guide, located in the Student Success Center. An abstract is not required. This assignment uses a grading rubric. Please review the rubric prior to beginning the assignment to become familiar with the expectations for successful completion. PTSD according to U. S. Department of Health and Human Services, National Institutes of Health, National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) in its NIH publication is defined as \"A disorder that develops in some people who have experienced a shocking, scary, or dangerous event\" (2015). The Posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) prevalence could result to development of obesity. There is a rise in veterans who have PTSD and eventually became overweight and then obese. Evidence shows that the use of psychotropic medications in the treatment and management of PTSD in veterans who participated in wars and other individuals and PTSD's actual pathophysiological mechanisms tend to cause excessive weight gain and their long time use leads to obesity. Objective To research on more important information on post traumatic stress disorder, study how medications for its treatment poses obesity risk. To research and bring to light the several aspects of complicated relationship that exists between Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and obesity. The research is also to focus on the impact of implementing health information technologies in the prevention and management of PTSD and obesity in Veterans. Importance of study This research is imperative in the prevention and treatment of obesity and may serve as a prospective public health reform. Major mortality comes from PTSD and Obesity and knowledge gained on their relationship will facilitate their management. Research Design CAPSTONE PROJECT PROPOSAL 3 A correlation research design will be utilized for study as it tends to ascertain the relationship connecting these variables to be able to achieve excellent outcome using EBP through Health Information Technologies (HIT). This research design has the ability to identify the existing association between PTSD and obesity. Observational study is also imperative in establishing this association. Population Data constituted from different PTSD programs at the veteran Departments and medical Centre will be utilized for the purpose of this research. Sample Sample size for this study will be on a 5 year data collected in regard to PTSD and obesity. The data are to be reviewed retrospectively and assessed. Data collection Data will be collected mostly from secondary sources that will be based on last five year period (2012- 2016) using the historical records provided by PTSD programs. Data collected on EPR resources on how PTSD drug interactions with PTSD veterans cause obesity. Data will also be collected from EPR resources on the impact of implementing health information technologies in the prevention and management of PTSD and obesity.
