As a Disability Management Coordinator, you and the H&S team have collected and reviewed the data which illustrates the rise in daily and short-term absences including health and safety incidents/accidents The data within the health and safety incidences/accidents you strongly believe stem from our employees who are trying to manage their Mental Health. After fully reviewing your data, your team believes the company needs support, education and an accommodation process to support team members who are trying to manage their mental health. As the Disability Management Coordinator, you will need to present to the Senior Leadership team the reasoning behind Mental Health education/training to all leadership as well as designing and a policy on accommodations and early and safe return to work policy.The company is a non-unionized workplace with both office/warehouse full time employees. Salary employees workday DAY SHIFT ONLY @ 40 hours per week and the Hourly Full-Time employees work 2 shifts -rotating weekly at 40 hours per week. The absenteeism between office/salary and hourly is almost equal when you average the number of employees (Salary- Hourly)
Currently, all employees are Full Time @ 40 hours per week, and all hourly employees must rotate unless an accommodation for medical/religious has been approved by the General Manager.
Your presentation should support the benefits of education/awareness and resources and how you believe it will positively change the morale within the organization and provide ROI.
