As a group, select and mark 3 stations using ranging poles and stands.
A reference point will be given to you (0,0)
You should as accurately as possible measure the distances between your ranging poles - this exercise is being done to simulate a real exercise - your 3 ranging poles are positioned correctly relative to each other but you need to instruct the crane operator of precise coordinates to lift them into position on top of an existing structure where the crane operator cannot see the structure
You must also measure the distance from your structural columns (ranging poles) to the reference coordinate you are given (0,0) Note we are using basic surveying equipment (tape measure) for this task.
You must record the data in forms of sketches and drawn numbers as you wish.
You must then calculate the coordinate of each of your stations relative to the 0,0 benchmark - and plot the triangular structure and include the coordinates on each node. Then you should move the 3 ranging poles (virtually) assuming they are a rigid structure connected to each other based on the following.
a. Clearly show a sketch and coordinates of your structure in situ.
b. You should assume a line drawn from station A to B is your North direction from A to B
As a group, select and mark 3 stations using
