As an aspiring project manager, you are going to interview a project manager to learn what it takes to succeed in that profession. The attached list has some of the strengths and themes that a project manager should have or focus on$.$ For this assignment, you will find a project manager $($not your mom, dad, siblings or significant other$).$

Share the list of strengths with him or her and ask the manager to pick five of those strengths or themes they consider most important and which they use in their work. Then engage them in a conversation to find out why those are most important, what it took to master them, and how you can go about perfecting them. What challenges does he or she face as a project manager and what does she or he see the future of the profession?

Lastly, reflect on what you have learned from the interview. Specifically, what have you learned that could be useful to you now and in your career?

Format of the paper:

Part I. Introduction $$ here you will talk about the project manager$$s brief bio and the manager's sector or industry. You will also talk about yourself and your career aspirations. That will set the context of the interview.

Part II$.$ Here you will talk about the the five strengths and themes selected by the project manager. Devote at least a paragraph for each item.

Part III. Here the focus is on the manager$$s reflection on the profession$$s challenges and the future.

Part IV$.$ This is the concluding part, which is a summary and your reflection on what your learned from the interview.

PS: I expect you to be as complete as you can be$,$ thus I will not specify how many pages. That has the negative effect of forcing students to either pad or cut short their papers.

This is what you are required to do:

Submit your paper or presentation and read and compare your interview with one or two others. This is a higher level critical thinking exercise. So what I am asking for you to think alongside these kinds of questions:

a$)$ How does the experience of your manager compare to that of one or two other managers presented in this session?

b$)$ What seems to be the most common route to becoming a project manager?

c$)$ Given what you know about project management and what you have learned from these interviews, would you still be interested in becoming a project manager? Why or why not?

d$)$ Take a question and compare and contrast answers from say five responses.

e$)$ What follow$-$up questions might you have asked the other interviewees if you were the one conducting the interview?

f$)$ Use your imagination $..$ e$.$g$..$ interview another student about their interviewee, etc.
