Question:
As I am sure you know Bob Barker was the famous game show hostof the Price is Right. He was known for this slick white hair, hislove of animals, and his affection towards "Barker's Beauties".Bob's sidekick, Rod Roddy, was known for his polarizing voice, large eye glasses and tacky suits. Bob and Rod were close friends.Rod was a very trust worthy and honest employee of CBS Television.Rod would spend hours scrutinizing the prices of the merchandise tomake sure the pricing was right in each game. However, over theyears, Rod learned that the producers, including host Bob Barker, would adjust the prices in order to make the games "more fun andmore suspenseful". In one example, Rod remembers Bob saying to theproducers " I think you should lower the retail price of theMetimucil in the "Grocery Game" because contestants will alwaysguess incorrectly." He also stated secretly to Rod "Every time Isay the word "Metimucil" in a game of chance like the "GroceryGame", I get a kick back so I want to make sure I say italot."
Rod was also concerned with Bob's behavior towards his models.Bob would often make suggestive comments to them and offer to takethem out for lunch, dinner and dancing. Rod once approached Bobabout his behavior and Bob responded "they are my employees, I cando and say what I want." Rob just shook is head and walked away.Rod is very concerned about the issues he is witnessing at thePrice is Right. Rod wants to report this to supervisors.
