As per chapter $11$ formulate any project plan planning for the construction of a small shopping centre $(3$ shops$))$ in your area. As per guiding document available on Vutela or by studying chapter $11$ in your textbook list at least $10$ steps$/$activities to complete the project. Also list and assign an alphabetic symbol for each activity and the immediate predecessors for each activity.

Assume duration for each activity as well as Optimistic, Most likely and Pessimistic times for each activity. Ensure that at least three activities have multiple immediate predecessors and at least one must have $3$ immediate predecessors and that all activities and sequences be logical and work not copied from other sources. You may be asked to explain certain parts of your work and the work may be put through TURNITIN. Students will be penalised for over simplified solutions.

Then from the data you have created complete the following exercises:

i$.$ Construct a network for the project

ii$.$ Determine the expected time and variance for each activity.

iii. Determine EF$,$ ES$,$ LS$,$ LF and slack time for each activity.

iv$.$ Determine the critical path and the project completion time.

v$.$ Determine the probability that the project will be completed $20\%$ earlier than the project completion time.

vi$.$ Use a software and simulate your solution above to validate correctness of PERT layout
