As the project manager on a year long project that has a lot of milestones, you rely upon written reports at the end of the day from your team letting you know the progress and to keep you informed if a delay has occurred. At first this method worked very well, but as time went on you noticed that the employees began to submit short and sometime haphazardly written end of class memos, errr reports. Since these reports are what you rely on to know if the project is going as planned or if it has the potential to fall behind schedule, go over budget, or anything else that would cause you to take corrective actions, you know you need to do something to get things back on track. To start, you meet with Jennifer to address the shortness of her report, "today I got stuff done". Jennifer informs you that she didn't know what to write because she was really pressed for time and so much was gone over and done the day before that it was just going to be too much time to report everything. When you tell Jennifer that she needs to give you details and percentage complete on the tasks done each day, Jennifer pushes back and says, "I was assigned this job by my manager because they know I'm highly qualified for this work. If you don't feel you can trust me to complete the work assigned to me with accuracy and attention to deadlines, perhaps you need to take this up with my manager. How would you respond
