Scenario This scenario requires you to apply risk management methods and techniques as part your role during formal consultation with-in an organisation. As an elected health and safety representative or in a role of assisting the health and safety representative of a work group, you will contribute to the further identification of hazards and assess risks and work vw'th that workgroup and other parties and individuals with- in the organisation to implement evaluate and review risk control plans. You will identify and establish the variations within the organisation's workgroups including the number of employees; nature and type of work; numbers and grouping of employees that perform certain types of work; where the work is performed; the nature of the hazards; the shift work/over time arrangements and languages spoken by the work group. it is crucial that you ensure all work tasks are being carried out safely, therefore workplace consultation plays a major role in WHS risk management, ensure you gather evidence of who you consult with and what you have consulted about. You will be required to the select and use workplace documentation that is used in WHS risk management including techniques, tools and processes for hazard identification, risk assessment, and risk control. Consultation that occurs with relevant individuals and parties should be captured and documented during the application of the risk management tool
