Background information

Caiach Crafts is a small, independent craft store in the welsh valleys. It currently operates 7 days a week with 5 members of staff. The business operates under two parts craft workshops and the shop, recently the co-owners have felt that their sales have been dropping to such low levels that they can no longer open 7 days a week and still make a profit, they are also contemplating letting go of some staff and putting in more hours at the store themselves.

They have given you a weeks-worth of sales data with the following information:

• Receipt number
• Cashier number
• Number of items sold
• Day of the week
• Payment method
• Sale value

The owners are keen to make a decision on the shop in the coming months and would like you to present them with some facts and figures along with suggestions on how to save money and maximise profit.

Requirements

Using the information in the spreadsheet AND external information, prepare a presentation for the owners of Caiach Crafts with suggestions on how they can save money and maximise profits. This needs to be submitted along with the spreadsheet containing all of your formulas, analysis and original graphs.

As a minimum you will be required to include the following either in the presentation or spreadsheet:

• Different types of graphs
• Use of formula
• Pivot tables
• Sorting, filtering, and formatting

Your PowerPoint presentation should have no more than 10 slides including the title and references.
