Assignment $1$: A Single Family Detached Home Floor Plan and Front Elevation

The objective of Assignment $1$ is to train Civil Engineering drafting skills by using AutoCAD.

Task $1$: Recreate the Figure $1$ office floor plan.

Instructions:

Plan before you commence drafting.

All dimensions are in $mm.($Select the correct template acadiso.dwt$)$

Setup page limits and grid

$$ Page limits: Bottom left $0,0$ : Top right $15000,10000$

Grid spacing $1000mm($For $x$ and $y)$

Snap $50($For $x$ and $y)$

Create layers for walls, windows, doors, dimensions, and text $($Select line thickness, and colors

appropriately$)$

You can use different styles for doors and windows

Make assumptions where data is not available

Wall thickness is $150mm($For both interior and exterior walls$)$

Text and dimension height $150mm$

Add furniture from the design center $($Figure $2)$

Task $2$: Produce the front elevation of the floor plan.

Instructions:

Use construction lines to support your drawing $($XL command$)$

Following instructions should be considered in preparing the front elevation

Doors and windows. $,$ The height of the door: $2100mm$

The height of the window $($All windows$)$: $1800mm($from the sill level$)$

Sill level: $500mm$ from the finished ground level.

Hint: You mav have to determine the total building height based on your assumptions.
