Assignment 1: Effective Versus Efficient: Four Scenarios ..

New Company has budget of recruitment and establishment. There are certain figure of contracts that must be achieved. The four scenarios are as follows:

1-The Company exceeded the budget of establishment by hiring new staff, bringing office furniture, official documents and other requirements and on the other hand, the number of contracts have been achieved.

2- The Company succeeded in hiring appropriate staff with moderate cost and in addition, the cost of expenses for the other requirement of establishment were within budget and on the other hand the number of contracts are achieved.

3- The company exceeded the budget, as they hire staff not professional and with high cost and in addition, they paid high on other factors such as office furniture and other arrangements, and on the same hand, the expected number of contracts are not achieved.

4-The Company closed on the phase of establishment due to conflict with partners. They did not consume the budget and the contracts are not achieved.

This was my question and hereunder is your answer which I have an inquiry about;

1. It is an effective scenario.

Rationale:

In the given scenario, the company exceeded their budget and they were able to achieve the anticipated outcome. Therefore, the company's decision to exceed the budget was effective after all as they have attained the expected results.

Explanation:

This is not an efficient scenario because efficiency is the quality of a task, while effectiveness is its value. In this case, the quality of the staff and infrastructure did not specifically overachieve or underachieve. Whereas the value of the staff and infrastructure can be understood through the measurement of results.

2. It is an efficient scenario.

Rationale:

In the given scenario, the company spent only a moderate amount on the budget, which would have made them doubtful of their expected results. However, the number of products was achieved despite the cost-effective budget. This indicates the quality of the staff, management decisions and infrastructure.

3. It is an efficient scenario.

Rationale:

In the given scenario, the company exceeded their budget but was not able to achieve the anticipated outcome. Therefore, the company's staff did not meet the expected results, which makes the scenario inefficient.

4. It is an effective scenario.

Rationale:

In the given scenario, the action of closing the company or project gave the expected result or value of not achieving the specified number of contracts. Therefore, this scenario is considered an effective scenario.

Final answer

The below scenario falls under the effective scenario category:

1. The Company exceeded the budget of establishment by hiring new staff, bringing office furniture, official documents and other requirements and on the other hand, the number of contracts have been achieved.

4. The Company closed on the phase of establishment due to conflict with partners. They did not consume the budget and the contracts are not achieved. (ineffective)????

The below scenario falls under the efficient scenario category:

2. The Company succeeded in hiring appropriate staff with moderate cost and in addition, the cost of expenses for the other requirement of establishment were within budget and on the other hand the number of contracts are achieved.

3. The company exceeded the budget, as they hire staff not professional and with high cost and in addition, they paid high on other factors such as office furniture and other arrangements, and on the same hand, the expected number of contracts are not achieved. (inefficient)????
