Question: Assignment # 1 - HRPD 7 1 0 - Decision Making Application This is a GROUP assignment, but your report will be delivered and graded
Assignment # HRPD Decision Making Application
This is a GROUP assignment, but your report will be delivered and graded INDIVIDUALLY.
Scenario:
You have been placed on a team charged with the responsibility of deciding which new vehicle to purchase for
your organization.
You need to create a report to show how your team came up with this decision,
Some of the relevant parameters:
This is not a leasebuy decision you are buying. The vehicle will be kept at the office and will be available for
general use by all staff for various errands, such as visiting clients, taking clients out, making deliveries of
medium sized packages max size of ft x ft x around ft etc...
Other:
Do not forget, like every other organization, there is a budget crunch, so expensive luxury or sports vehicles
are out
you are focusing on midrange priced, midsized new vehicles only, so DO NOT USE price as a
criterion all alternatives are to be in the same price range.
You need to not only make the decision but also explain and document the processes you used to make your
decision, including significant factors, obstacles, ambiguities, and uncertainties, you were faced with, along
with any assumptions you made, at each stage.
For the purpose of this assignment:
Limit yourself to selecting from alternatives.
You must assess each alternative using discriminating criteria ie Criteria which help to distinguish
between the choices, and are, therefore, not highly correlated;
You need to come up with only one final selection and show clearly how you made this final selection
on the Alternatives Evaluation Analysis chart
o Please make sure you format the chart to fit on ONE page to clearly show all aspects of the
analysis,
o Present the chart landscape, point font, single spaced on its own page
Your application of the DM process should be grounded in reality dont just make up numbers or
features so you need to do some REAL research For example, if you could use price as a
criterion, you would need to find out what the real average price is for each vehicle by for example,
searching online.
o DO NOT FORGET to cite and reference
