Assignment #1 - Personal Success

In Module #1 we spent time talking about success and how external influences have shaped our perspective of what success should be rather than success based upon an internal assessment of what success means to us individually. Using the materials from the module as references, reflect upon what your definition of success is. You can use the Dimensions of Success, or other tools that summarize key categories to think about but think deeply about what success looks like to you in each category.

I want you to be as specific as possible and your definition of success might include accomplishments that you achieve, things you do, or impact that you have on others. Think broadly and deeply about the impact you want to have. Each dimension you explore should include at least 3 - 4 items that represent what success looks like for that category.This should be things that you could objectively measure your progress against to determine if you were, indeed, successful for that category.

When I have been asked to this type of assignment in the past, I have been asked to imagine yourself sitting in your rocking chair when you are 85 years old and reflecting upon the life that you have had.What are you most proud of in terms of your accomplishments, relationships, impact, and results.

Additionally, I want you to include your values in the paper (likely up-front or early on) as these impact what we value. When you discuss your values in this assignment include your reasons why each one is important to you, or what makes them so important.

This assessment / paper should be real and meaningful to you. It should be something that you might post on the refrigerator at home so that it is a constant reminder of what it is you are pursing in this one precious life.

Marking:

Values (10 marks): Your values are clearly identified and included in the paper. A discussion is included as to why each value is important to you.

Definition of Success (30 marks): An exploration of your definition of success clearly spans several different criteria (i.e., 5 - 7 criteria) and completely addresses all aspect of your life.Each criteria includes at least 3 - 4 items (more is fine) that can be objectively measured and assessed. Your writing must be clear.

Please help me with my assignment. Its about self-reflection, but I have no time to do it. This is my top 5 successes for me

1. To have a full-time or stable job in my profession as a healthcare provider

2. To establish my own business

3. to be able to support my family whatever they need or want

4. travel and explore with my family

5. to have a beautiful and perfect complete family.

Correlate my 3 values ( Family, Trust, and respect) in the most important success to Number 1-3
