Overview

In this first assignment you will write a Python program that computes the

member tensions and support reactions in a simple truss. The problem should

seem familiar to you from Introduction to Engineering Analysis $($IEA$).$ However,

unlike in IEA, an angle in the truss geometry is initially unknown; various angles

in degrees will be provided to your program when it is run by Submitty.

The geometry of the truss that you are to analyze is shown below in Figure $1.$

Members AB and BD make an unknown angle $\backslash$theta with each other. Members AC

and CD make the same angle with each other. The following data is known:

$$ Members AB and CD are $2$ m in length.

$$ The external force P at joint C is $2024$ N applied vertically downward.

$$ There is a rolling support at joint A$.$

$$ There is a fixed support at joint B$.$
