Background

Diversity in the feedback provided by faculty members is a way for you to develop a mindset of critical thinking and evaluation. It provides a mechanism through which to identify and understand the many different ways in which you can become a better scholar. If you only receive positive feedback when you try something new, then you're not learning!

Instructions

This assignment is a blog posting that focuses on ways to develop a growth mindset when receiving and incorporating, whether it is from an instructor, dissertation chair, committee member, or other reviewer. Please do not forget to support your assertions with scholarly citations and references!

1. Discuss the importance of receiving and responding to feedback on your scholarly writing.
2. Provide a minimum of 10 tips to positively deal with negative feedback.
3. Indicate a minimum of 5 important points to consider about the scholarly writing process.
4. Determine how feedback and peer-review are invaluable when compiling a critical review of the research literature and designing a research-worthy dissertation study.
