Although this is an individual research paper, students can choose to work with others to share resources and ideas. The assignment hopes to expose you to some basic research skills that you will later develop as you move to the higher levels of your study. The research will be guided by the Research Skills Development (RSD) using Levels 1-2 of the framework. More information on RSD is available on (http://www.research usp.ac.fi) 1. 2. In this research, you will find out the attitude of parents towards the effect of change on their child. You are interested in answering the question: "Does change at Government level have an impact on children's education?" To answer the above question, interview 4 parents who have children in schools (could be primary or secondary level) and find out their views on the above issue. In conducting the research, you will be expected to use the *Research Skills Development (RSD) framework (http://www.research.usp.ac.fj) to: 3. Clarify the topic you are researching and set the boundaries you will confine your research to. Have at least 2 research questions to guide your fieldwork. Conduct a review of the academic literature. Use at least four sources for this paper. Prepare questions to guide the interview. Conduct the interview. Analyse your findings using the sociological perspectives studied in this course. Develop a conclusion about what is positive and negative about your topic. Suggestions for interview questions.
