Assignment 2 - Business Systems Analysis and Design Instructions: Read the following scenario and answer the following questions. Once you have completed the assignment, submit it to the instructor using the WebCT Assignment Tool. Scenario You enter the library and approach the front counter to sign up for a library card. You provide you name, address and phone number to the librarian. This information is recorded into the Client system. The Client system verifies that you have not had a previous client card, which had an outstanding balance. If there is an outstanding balance, you must pay this amount in cash or cheque before the librarian can proceed. If the librarian can proceed, the system checks to see if your address is within city limits. If your address is not within the city limits, a fee of $25 is charged. You can either pay the $25 now via cash or cheque or have the library send an invoice to you requesting payment within 30 days. If you agree to pay the $25, the system assigns a client number to you. The library then goes to a card-making machine where the client name and number are retrieved from the Client system and printed on the card. The card is then given to you and you make your way over to a selection of novels. After 15 minutes of searching you find a book that you wish to sign out. You then go the librarian and hand over your book and client card. The librarian then informs you that they have a special promotion and if you sign out more than 2 books, you would receive a free bookmark. If you sign out more than 4 books, you also receive a free pen. Also, if you sign out a book from a selected list of authors, you would receive a calendar. The book you had selected was not on the selected list of authors. The librarian signs out your book by entering you client number, the catalog number on the book and today's date into the client system. The librarian gives you the book and you leave the library. You have been asked to document the current system because they want to replace it with newer technology (the current system is old and no longer supported by it's vendor). Questions 1. What approach(s) would you use to gather the requirements? Explain your answer? 2. Prepare 5 questions for staff members that you would use to start the process of gathering requirements? 3. What type of documentation do you think would be available for you to review? 4. Would you prepare a questionnaire for clients of the library? Explain your
