Assignment #2 Restaurant Marketing Analysis

You are asked to prepare a marketing analysis and suggestions for the future improvement in marketing strategy for a local independent restaurant.

1.Select a foodservice operation from where you live that you are familiar with, and that has a good online presence. If you are unsure of your choice, please speak to the Professor for approval.

2.Once you have chosen the operation you will be focusing on, the following elements are required:

a.A description of the restaurant concept with the restaurant location and a brief history, as well as a description of the menu offering. (5 Marks)

b.Using the four categories of marketing variables, provide a description of what you think is the primary target market using the segmentation variables: demographic, geographic, psychographic, and behavioral. You must use the Prizm tool as a reference. (10 Marks)

c.An analysis of the operation using the 7 Ps (product, price, place, promotion, process, people, physical evidence). Be sure to explain how each of the variables relates to the identified Target Market. (10 Marks)

d.From your evaluation of this foodservice operation, provide three ideas or recommendations that could improve the marketing. (10 Marks)

e.Use proper spelling, grammar, punctuation and presentation. (5 Marks)

Your report should incorporate the following format:

Double space, Arial or Times New Roman 12 pt. font Cover page, table of contents, references, headings and sub-headings (consider the rubric for these) Photos and images are great additions, where they help describe your concepts and ideas. Take some time to consider the operation you choose. Be sure that you either have the knowledge you need or can do the research to properly complete all the sections required for the project.
