Final Presentation The objective of this assignment is to provide you with experience in informative speaking. Each presentation should be organized, researched, practiced, and informative. Using the forms of support discussed in the text, develop and construct a speech of description, demonstration, or explanation. 1. Speech of Description: This speech should provide a clear picture of your subject. Describing the Statue of Liberty is an example of this type of speech. 2. Speech of Demonstration: This speech should help the listener learn a new skill, behavior, or technique. Showing students how to create a web site is an example of this type of speech. 3. Speech of Explanation: This speech offers information about topics that are abstract and difficult to understand. Explaining the effects of global warming is an example of this type of speech. 4. Speech of Exposition: Simply delivering an informative speech. Laying out all the facts, figures, stats, definitions, etc. on a topic of interest. Details: Select one of the above forms.
