Assignment 5
In a local school district, a single van is used to transport meal containers from a central kitchen to four schools (School A, School B, School C, and School D) over a 24-hour operating period.
Every EXPO (2.75) hour, the kitchen prepares a new batch of 30 sealed containers. Each container holds exactly 6 individual lunch boxes (for a total of 180 lunch boxes per batch), but containers are sealed for hygiene and may not be opened or partially delivered.
The van picks up 20 containers and visits the schools in the following order: School A, then School B, then School C, and finally School D. Upon arriving at each school, the van unloads a number of containers.
The number of containers delivered to School A follows a discrete distribution: 2 containers with a probability of 0.4,3 containers with a probability of 0.35, and 5 containers with a probability of 0.25. The number of containers delivered to School B follows a Poisson distribution with a mean of 3. School C also receives exactly 5 containers. After the first three schools are served, any remaining containers are delivered to School D.
The van takes a Triangular (8,11,14) minute to load the containers from the kitchen. Travel time between the kitchen and each school, or between any two schools, follows a Normal (21,4) minute. At each school, the unloading time is Uniformly distributed between 9 and 13 minutes. After the delivery round is completed. The van returns to the kitchen, loads the 20 containers and begins its next delivery round.
Build the following scenario and run it for 24 hours with 8-hour shift, and report the number of trips performed, and the number of containers delivered to each school.use Arena step by step please
