The experience setting up and running your marketplace live company formed a core component of your learning throughout the course. The demands of the competitive, fast paced, and dynamic environment within the simulation were intense. Every week you were bombarded with new information that required quick analysis and response. You were constantly required to make decisions about every aspect of your business. You may have felt that there was little time to consider how and if what you were doing was connected to broader course concepts. This assignment is designed to provide you with an opportunity to more deeply reflect on both the role you played within your company, and on linkages between your experience in marketplace live and course concepts. Through this process you will make better meaning of material covered.
The following questions must be addressed
What was your primary role in your company? What do you think you did well in this role? What was tricky and what would you do differently in the future? Provide specific examples as evidence to support your statements.
What went well for your company and what contributed to success? What was challenging and what contributed to challenges? What would you differently in the future and why? In your analysis you must use specific examples drawn from your MPL experience and performance. Moreover, you must support your analysis by applying course readings, digital certifications, theory, frameworks, and concepts. This is your opportunity to specifically apply and link your experience in the simulation to broader course content.
How will you use what you have learned throughout the course and the simulation in your professional career? Here you have an opportunity to demonstrate your in-depth learning and mastery of course content by generalizing your experience and communicating how you will apply specific course content and personal learning to create even more positive outcomes moving forward in your professional career. In essence, you are highlighting the key things you are walking away with from the course that you can use in your career.
